Stashed

Hand stitched canvas bag with metal eyelets

Stashed relates to the archival process of trying to reunite broken or lost objects to create a whole narrative. These pieces rework functional cloth, the shapes taken from off cuts of wood found in a garage.

This bags is a holding place for things rather than a home. It doesn’t protect or suggest value necessarily but they are where we put the objects that we need and use often, the things we need to keep close.

‘Stashed’ explores the value of objects, what we treasure, how we protect them and how they shape our ideas about being human.
